I initially decided I wanted to be a porter in a hotel, and at first had no ambition to achieve anything more than that.
However once I became familiar with the role of the Concierge from that point on I knew what I wanted to be.

Having finally become a concierge I first saw an article on the Les Clefs d'Or in the newspaper. My general manager assisted me researching the organisation, and with time, focus and a lot of work I was forunate enought to eventually be awarded my own set of the golden keys.

My strength in high school was history and I have found my niche collecting information from various sources to answer guest queries.
For example I remember an American tourist who once asked my porter a difficult question about the Torrens River in Adelaide. His first thought was to look to me, and sure enough I knew the answer. I do feel that having a broad general knowledge, and a willingness to continue to learn are definitely qualities which stand any good Concierge in good stead.

My goal is to provide knowledgable, friendly and efficient service to all our guests, and in this quest, my membership in Les Clefs d'Or has been invaluable.
