In 1992 I completed a one-year course in Hotel Management and on completion gained employment as a Porter at the Holiday Inn Queenstown. After Queenstown I traveled to Australia and then onto England where I worked as a Concierge with Hyatt Hotels. I then returned to Australia and after various Duty Manager positions I eventually returned to the role I was most passionate about, being a Hotel Concierge

Right from the beginning I was always attracted to the Concierge Department. There is always an unpredictability in what a guest may ask which adds to the appeal and excitement of being a Concierge. It is so true that no two days are ever the same.

I am very proud of the team I work with and to see the progress and development of some of the younger Concierges as particularly rewarding.

It has definitely been my career highlight to become a member of Les Clefs d’Or. I am very honoured to wear the Gold Keys each day at work and I aspire to do the Les Clefs d’Or Society proud.
